Caring. Professional. Knowledgeable. Peaceful. Quality care for cats.

Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.

Warmth, food, attention, an interesting view, security: your cats' comfort and safety is our priority.

We KNOW cats!

The Cattery was started in 2005. It has been a finalist as Cattery or Kennel of the Year in the Pet Federation Industry's National Awards twice in recent years. It is Licensed and Inspected by Wealden District Council and is fully Insured by Amlin.

We have a separate kitchen for meal preparation.

The full range of foods are available including raw, fresh cooked fish or meat, and foods from the smaller independents and big brand names.

Chequer Trees Cattery

A peaceful haven for cats away from home.

Dietary Requirements

We have the full range of proprietary and fresh foods available so your cat can continue with the same diet as at home. We also cater for raw feeding.

Medications of all kinds can be given including insulin injections. We have facilities for less active cats who cannot manage steps or jumping up to sleeping shelves. A local Vet is available in case of emergencies.

Home from home

We provide beds and fleeces but please feel free to bring your cat's bed and toys with to help them settle in.

Here's what our happy clients say about us...

Thank you for looking after Fizz and Mitzy so many times this year and doing such a great job.

I think you probably know what it’s meant to me to have you there all these years taking care of Peggy and Molly. You’ve cared for them like your own and have seen us through many trying and worrying times. You and your cattery are a gem for owners.

For four years out of the last five the cattery has been a Finalist in the Pet Industry Federation's national Kennel or Cattery of the Year Award. We have no vacancies for Christmas 2018. WALDRON VILLAGE CLOSED IN NOVEMBER and DECEMBER We are advised that due to works to replace the water main in Waldron village, Whitehouse Lane will be closed at the village end from November 12th 2018, for approximately 5 weeks, i.e. until Christmas. To access the Cattery during this time from the Uckfield direction you will need to use Back Lane, the last right turn off the B2102, Lewes Road, at Cross in Hand. It is a small road signed for Waldron, only a few yards from the junction with the A267. Whitehouse Lane is the 2nd right turn, about a mile along. The Cattery is then 100yds on the right. For access from Heathfield and Horam, New Pond Lane and Furnace Lane are open.
